Christina Farr
Christina Farr heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?" and responded, "Here am I! Send me." Isaiah 6:8.
A committed Christian, married with 3 beautiful children responds to Gods call to serve the poor in Africa... a journey and adventure with God!
Christina makes her third trip to Zambia as a mission volunteer with Mission Direct and will be based in Lusaka from June 12th – Oct 2015. She will be working on the building of a rescue centre for young girls living on the streets and from abusive situations where many are exposed to HIV/AIDS, drugs and substance abuse. These harsh living conditions forced girls to resort to prostitution, an extremely dangerous lifestyle in a city where 20% of the population is HIV positive and the opportunity to go to school rare. Over 80% of children living on the streets have no access to formal education.
Christina will accompany home-based care workers to visit local people in their homes, an opportunity to do Outreach and share the gospel in the community, where she will be ministering to their practical and spiritual needs.
Christina also supports the work of Christian Alliance for Children in Zambia (CACZ) who runs the 'House of Moses', a home for 25 babies up to 18 months who receive round-the-clock care from dedicated staff. Where babies are abandoned or left at the gates of House of Moses by desperate relatives.
Christina's vision and desire is to continue to help the poor and to share Gods amazing love to these precious souls. Her heart is to see the sick healed and thousands give their lives to Christ!!
Please support Christina in this mission by your prayers and giving, that her life and her arm out stretched over lives will be supplied to meet the needs.
